Island No-3, Salt Lake - Slowly Getting Accident Prone Zone

A News Desk Report:

A bus stop at Island No-3, Salt Lake is now an accident prone zone. The city was beautifully designed with wide Foot Paths for the pedestrians. In many cases these were converted to gardens, shops etc etc. Though in the earlier days, on main avenues this practice was not noticed and pedestrians would freely use the foot paths.

But some neo-urban and pseudo-cultured car owners are encroaching  the foot path spaces by parking their cars and creating troubles to the children, senior citizens and others.

A specific case may be mentioned here. Foot path space of 1st Avenue before AC-19, AC-18 and AC-17 are occupied by a number of cars for most of the day time. This is the Island No-3 bus stop, a busy location. During the office hours one can hardly stand on the foot path for availing of buses due to narrowing of the space.

Verbal approach to the said car drivers, security guards of AC-17 was not fruitful and they had some hooligan attitude. Telephonic request to Police (Dial 100) was also failed to get any remedy.

We are afraid of that any day a major accident may cause here and that day is not so far.
